TKG requires a few downloads.

  • Tanzu CLI – binary
  • Kubectl – binary
  • TKG Template ova – ova used for deploying the photon images.

Go to my.vmware.com and navigate to the VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid downloads.

Download the VMware Tanzu Cli for Linux. Use the latest version.
Download Photo v3 Kubernetes. Use the latest version
Download kubectl cluster cli. Use the latest version.
