Tanzu – TKG (TKGm)

A guide on how to deploy a TKGm cluster using a bootstrap server, and integrate the k8s cluster with Avi for L4 Load Balancing and L7 Ingress Services.

Step by Step Guide to deploy Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKGm) using vSphere Distributed Switch (VDS)

  1. Download the Tanzu, k8s binaries
  2. Configure bootstrap VM
  3. Create Photon template in vCenter
  4. Deploy and Configure Avi
  5. Deploy Management Cluster
  6. Deploy Workload Cluster
  7. Validate Avi & AKO by creating a L4 Type LB
  8. Validate Avi & AKO by creating an L7 ingress
  9. Useful Tanzu / Kubectl Commands
